Faith Wilder

Project Scientist

Email: fw@smruconsulting.com

Faith joined SMRU Consulting in 2022 as a Project Scientist, based in the Vancouver office. She has experience working with charities and not-for-profit organisations involved in various aspects of marine science and conservation, including marine mammal rescue, scientific diving, habitat monitoring, and community and stakeholder engagement.

Faith’s research interests centre on individual- and population-level responses to environmental change and anthropogenic disturbance. During her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at the University of Exeter, she studied the impact of wind and sea state on live grey seal strandings. In addition, she has experience in population modelling and, during her Master’s at the University of St Andrews, focused on the reliability of cetacean strandings data for use as population indicators.
