Jack is an Associate Scientist at SMRU Consulting Europe. Jack joined SMRUC in February 2023, with over 5 years of working experience in the field of marine mammal sciences. This included two years’ experience conducting visual and acoustic marine mammal surveys and marine mammal behaviour studies for non-profit organisations, and over 3 years of environmental consulting experience.
Within consulting, Jack has experienced a wide range of industries and sectors including offshore renewables, ports and harbours and geophysical survey operations. Jack specialises in marine mammal impact assessment and has conducted a wide array of industry funded project work including the production of marine mammal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters and environmental supporting documents, marine mammal mitigation plans and protocols, and acoustic survey design and coordination.
