Sam is a field engineer for the Costal Acoustic Buoy (CAB) project at SMRU Consulting. Sam graduated from Whitman College with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Mathematics-Physics in 2019. As a lifelong musician Sam has always been fascinated with sound, though his formal introduction to acoustics was as a research assistant at Whitman College for an Acoustics study using Speckle Pattern Interferometry. After graduating Whitman Sam joined the sea turtle research team at the Cape Eleuthera Institute, and has now combined his passions for conservation and acoustics on the SMRU team.
